"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we'll ever do."
— Brené Brown

Meet the Therapist

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) passionate about helping teens (15+) and adults navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, clarity, and self-understanding. While I enjoy working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, I am especially passionate about supporting young adults, young women, and those navigating seasons of growth, transition, and personal discovery.

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, adjusting to a major life transition, experiencing relationship challenges, facing self-doubt, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can provide a space to gain insight, build confidence, and move forward with greater clarity.

I believe therapy is most effective when people feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment.

Many of the clients I work with are navigating periods of transition, uncertainty, or change. This may include young adults establishing independence, women adjusting to new life roles, new mothers navigating the challenges of parenthood, or individuals seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their values, and their purpose. Wherever you find yourself in your journey, I strive to provide practical support, encouragement, and compassionate guidance every step of the way.

Therapeutic Approach

I provide individualized counseling for teens (ages 15+) and adults. Because every person brings a unique story and set of experiences, I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

My style is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. Together, we work to better understand patterns, develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and create meaningful change. Depending on your needs and goals, I may incorporate creative interventions, practical skill-building, and evidence-based techniques to support growth and healing.

I draw from approaches including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Art Therapy Techniques

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Person-Centered Therapy

  • Strengths-Based and Relational Approaches

  • Skill Building and Practical Coping Techniques

Credentials

MA in Counseling – Ottawa University

BA in Psychology – Ottawa University

BA in Communication – Ottawa University

In addition to private practice, I have experience working in community mental health, outpatient counseling, and behavioral health treatment settings, supporting adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and mental health concerns.

These experiences deepened my understanding of the challenges individuals face while reinforcing my belief in the possibility of meaningful, lasting change.

Beyond the Office

Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughters, being active in my community, and coaching dance at the collegiate level. My faith, family, and relationships are important parts of my life and continue to shape the values that guide both my personal life and my work as a therapist.

I value connection, personal growth, and creating meaningful experiences with the people I care about most.

Christian Counseling (Optional)

At Healing 180 Counseling, my goal is to support emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. For those who desire it, Christian counseling can be integrated into the therapeutic process in a way that aligns with your beliefs, values, and goals.

I especially enjoy supporting individuals who are exploring their faith, growing in their relationship with God, or navigating life from a Christian perspective. Whether you are newly discovering your faith or have been walking with God for many years, therapy can provide a supportive space to process challenges, strengthen your foundation, and grow with confidence.

Faith integration is always optional, and your preferences will be respected. You do not need to hold any particular belief to receive compassionate, high-quality care. Whether your faith is central to your life, something you are newly exploring, or an important part of your personal growth journey, you will be met with empathy, understanding, and respect.

If you are looking for a supportive space for yourself or your teen, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
